I was running through my files when I found the old .gifs I made long time ago (I already posted them). But the reason why I re-post them right now is the question that I have: “Why this never happened?”. Arthur and Morgana really had potential. And maybe, if the show had different writers (I’m not complaining about JCapps, not right now, really) it could have been this way, right? It got me thinking. Arthur probably had a lot of affairs before Gwen, right? What was Morgana reaction on all of this? What was his reaction on her favourites? It was obvious, they were jealous. But was it real or it was just a teasing game? Did they ever think of making it serious? Did he chase her? Did he ever try to kiss her? Did she kissed him back? Was she there for him? Did she reject other guys because of him? Did they think of getting old together? Did they ever try to make it right?
I’m asking myself, what was their relationships before Merlin arrived to Camelot. What their childhood was like? If they ever kissed, what it was like? Was it good or bad? Was it sweet or it was a furore of passion? Would they ever rise about their pride? It’s still a mystery to me, why their relationships became so inexpressive? I understand that the writers needed to make a step forward to Arthur and Gwen storyline but could you imagine a different way? Yes, they are brother and sister now but before they knew about it, there was a possibility. A great chance for them to be together. And I’m wondering, did they try to take it? Take risk and be together? Maybe, for one day or night.
After the end of season 1, all their relationships just got grey and only one scene (2x11) showed them as they were. In season three, did he really search for her or it was an order? What was his thoughts? How would he tell her that he’s in love with Gwen? Before events in S3.
Why Arthur told Merlin to stop seeing Morgana in 2x03? Did he think of Merlin or his situation with Gwen? Is there a little possibility he still had feelings for Morgana? Or did he ever have feelings for her? What was her feelings for him?
They carried for each other.
Would Morgana’s heart be broken if she found out about Arthur and Gwen long ago before S3? Would she try to win him back? There are so many questions I would love to have answers on. Clearly, gifs don’t actually show my point. But I hope it shows what could possibly happened. Not because Arthur fell for Gwen,no. Because Arthur and Morgana had a chance, a good one. Maybe, they just lost it.
